The expression "Shrove" comes from the word "shrive," meaning "absolve." This is when we consider our wrongs and repent, and when we consider what amendments of life or areas of spiritual growth we need and we ask for God's help to achieve.
Being the last day before the penitential season of Lent, some of us indulge in food that we will sacrifice for the upcoming 40 days. What will you be sacrificing for Lent?
